Enrolling In Medicare
Enroll in Medicare on-line. https://www.ssa.gov It’s so easy! You’ll need your name, social security number, date of birth and gender.
- After arriving at the home page of ssa.gov, across the top ribbon, click on Medicare.
- A drop-down box will emerge. Select Sign Up For Medicare.
- A new page is opened. Scroll down to the greyed area labelled Sign Up for Medicare and select Apply Online (blue button).
- Another page is opened. Click the box in front of: “I understand and agree to the above statements”. Click Next at the bottom of the page.
- Again, another page is opened. Under Apply & Complete, you’ll see the following: After signing into your “my Social Security” account, applying for Retirement/Medicare may take between 10 to 30 minutes to complete depending on your situation. You can save your application as you go, so you can take a break at any time. Select “Start A New Application”. You’ll want to make sure you are signing up for both Medicare Parts A and B.
